Intrinsic safety barriers BIZoN 2Ex.24.24
Overview
BIZoN 2Ex.24.24 is a two-channel intrinsic safety barrier with an automatic recovery function after tripping. Reverse polarity protection provides intrinsic safety for transducers and equipment installed in hazardous areas.
Every channel can be used for connecting one device with an interface: current loop (0-5 мА / 0-20 µА / 4-20 µА), dry contact (DC), digital input (DI), Digital output (DO) or for supply one device installed in a hazardous area voltage + 24V DC (connections are made in a two-wire circuit).
Note: When an intrinsic safety barrier using with devices from the equipment group IIB, the connection can be complete with a two-wire or three-wire circuit.
The intrinsic safety barrier meets the requirements of EN 60079-0:2019 and EN 60079-11:2017 and has explosion protective markings EX II (1) G [Ex ia Ga] IIC (designed for installation outside hazardous areas).
Intrinsic safety barrier - is the device that limits the energy supplied to a circuit and protects hazardous areas from excess energy. By limiting energy to a safe level, intrinsically safe circuits prevent the ignition of potentially explosive atmospheres.
Scope
The device is used in measurement and process control systems, emergency protection and alarm systems in explosive and/or hazardous areas of oil and gas & petrochemical, metallurgy, power, chemical, food and other industries, where explosive gas mixtures, vapors, other flammable and explosive substances (dust, powder) may be present.
